(5)Submit two academic journal papers for publication (paper and online submission)<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

(7)Attached Certificate of Completion from Taiwan Academic Ethics Education Resource Center<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(1) Please submit to the GIIASS office after your advisor signs the form<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(2) Completion required for thesis defense\uff1a<\/p>\n\n\n\n

a. Pass the review of thesis outline<\/p>\n\n\n\n

b. Submission of Published Academic Journal Articles or Proof of Acceptance for Publication (Must be completed before <\/p>\n\n\n\n

graduation and school departure):<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Doctoral students are required to publish two academic journal articles in the field of international relations or strategic <\/p>\n\n\n\n

studies, in journals that adopt a double-blind peer-review process, either domestic or international.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alternatively, students may publish one academic journal article in a double-blind peer-reviewed journal in the specified <\/p>\n\n\n\n

fields and present one paper at a domestic or international academic conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(Students admitted from the 2025 academic year onward are required to publish two journal articles.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

(3) PhD students should participate in at least 2 domestic (or international) academic seminars per semester, and should attend at least 6 seminars before graduation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Oral Defense Copy<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The printed thesis submitted for the oral defense should have “Oral Defense Copy” clearly indicated on the cover page. The content must be the finalized version of the complete thesis. Please refer to the format guidelines for writing master’s and doctoral theses at Tamkang University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Remarks:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Please apply in accordance with the provisions of\uff1a\u2019\u2019Regulation of Ph.D program of GIIASS, Tamkang University\u2019\u2019 and  \u201cAttention for students taking<\/strong> Oral defense\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Oral defense time will be arranged by GIIASS office. Please submit all documents to office in time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. After submitting your application, if for various reasons you are unable to attend the oral defense, please notify the office immediately so that the withdrawal process can be initiated for you. Otherwise, your thesis grade will be calculated as zero.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. For the form of oral defense, please consult your advisor and submit the required documents to the oral committee (no later than 2 weeks before the oral examination date).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. From 2026\/1\/5<\/strong>\uff5e<\/strong>2026\/1\/11<\/strong> ,the formal thesis defense sessions are scheduled. If you wish to reschedule your defense due to career planning, please contact us promptly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. The Procedure for the Originality Check of Graduate Theses at Our University<\/strong>
Please follow the regulations stipulated in Article 5 and Article 7 of the “Tamkang University Regulations for Graduate Degree Examinations.”<\/strong> Submit the three-stage thesis similarity comparison reports<\/strong> in both printed form<\/strong> (thesis cover page + overall similarity report page with signatures from both the graduate student and the thesis advisor) and complete electronic files<\/strong>.

1)Before the student applies for the degree examination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2)When the thesis examination committee submits the student’s degree examination result form, they must review and <\/p>\n\n\n\n

3)When the student submits the printed version of the thesis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
